Origin

The Kampot pepper is cultivated in Kampot province located in the very south of East Asian Cambodia.

This is an area that, thanks to its seaside climate and geological conditions, enables local farmers to produce pepper of the highest quality in the world. Not without reason, this pepper has earned a protected geographical designation, similar to French champagne. From small family farms, we purchase pepper under direct trade conditions that ensure a fair reward for every grower, and we strive to promote this approach among other traders. Thanks to that, by purchasing from us, you not only acquire pepper of the highest quality, but also the assurance that you are buying a sustainable and morally responsible product that helps ensure its producers medical care and education for their children.

Characteristic

It is delicate and tender, unleashing a perfect harmony of exotic flavors in your mouth after biting into it.

Compared to classic dried pepper, it is significantly different. Green pepper offers an intense peppery taste, gradually accompanied by notes of citrus and conifers, mutually intertwined with floral tones.

Processing

This delicacy of the highest quality is packed directly in Cambodia.

A pinch of salt flower is added to the green peppercorns. Salt flower obtained by evaporating sea water. Fresh salt preserves the pepper and thus guarantees its absolute freshness. Thanks to this processing, the grains retain the taste of tender green pepper just picked from the pepper vine.

Thanks to careful selection corresponding to strict quality requirements for Kampot pepper, set by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the best grains are handpicked. They are then vacuum-packed to preserve quality and freshness during the journey to the Czech Republic.

Usage

Try to combine its perfect flavor with dark meat, sauces, risotto or breakfast eggs.

The tender green seeds are also suitable for pasta, casseroles, and soups. It also pairs very well with mild cheeses, to which it provides a spicier accompaniment. Green pepper will be loved primarily by devotees of vegetarian cuisine.

This pepper is not suitable to be crushed in the grinder due to clogging of the milling mechanism. If you still want to disrupt its top skin, use a mortar.

Package

We still pack the pepper in Cambodia into bags with capacities of 40 and 100 grams.

Thanks to these bags, the beans retain the authentic taste and aroma of fresh Kampot pepper. In this edition it is additionally stored in luxurious sealed envelopes made from extract paper. The used coffee cups are employed in its production.

Each package also includes a brochure that brings you the story of the best pepper in the world and introduces the world .pepper..field.

Awards

Quality is our top priority, as confirmed not only by the certificates our pepper carries, but also by the awards it wins from world competitions.

Among the most significant are the awards given to our pepper as part of competition Great Taste, one of the most prestigious gastronomic competitions in the world.

However, sustainability is also important to us, which we do not treat merely as empty words, as evidenced by SDG’s award awarded to truly sustainable and socially responsible projects.
